"Like a softer, more organic Efterklang; yet just as worthy" - Manchester Music

Altmodisch hail from Copenhagen, Denmark and released 2 low-key EPs on the Danish labels Indietronica.dk and RUST music before signing to Regular Beat in 2009. The band's debut album was released during 2010 to critical acclaim across Scandinavia, while a follow-up EP of remixes taken from the album by label-mate Gordon Fones has just been released.

The band's fondness for blending traditional instruments such as violin, accordian, trumpet and cello with drum machines, sampled loops and other digital elements has resulted in Altmodisch's sound being likened to Danish compatriots Efterklang and Germany's The Notwist among others (there's some snippets from the album here >>).
