Happy
new year folks! We begin with exciting news of Alaska In Winter's
debut European tour! We're still waiting on confirmation of
a few dates but the gigs that have been confirmed so far are
listed below, along with the venue deets and other info. Tickets
for the London and Brussels shows are on sale now!!
Marianne Dissard is also coming over from Arizona during April
for a few shows in the UK and Europe - we'll post details
of Marianne's schedule once fully confirmed. Mitch & Murray
are also going to be out and about in April and will be joining
the bill at a couple of dates on the tour. Alaska In Winter
shows confirmed so far:

Such
an occassion wouldn't be complete without an accompannying
record, so we'll be releasing a very limited split-7"
single on April 7th; Alaska In Winter's 'Close Your Eyes -
We Are Blind' (which as some / all of you will know features
Beirut's Zach Condon on guest vocals and ukelele) takes the
A-side, while the flipside is occupied by Marianne Dissard
and her track 'Trop Exprés' (co-written and performed
with Calexico's Joey Burns).
The single, the first to be taken from the Alaska In Winter
album 'Dance Party In The Balkans', will be available on lovely
7" white vinyl (limited to 500 copies) from our website,
our myspace, and all good record shops, while you'll also
be able to download it from i-tunes and various other digital
retailers.

other news, albums by Alaska In Winter and Mitch & Murray
have recently been officially released in Germany. They're
both distributed by Indigo and are widely available at all
good records shops in Germany and also on i-tunes. There's

released in Italy (distributed by Goodfellers), Sweden (distributed
by Border) and Norway (distributed by Tuba).
