Altmodisch have announced a handful of live dates including a couple of in-store appearances in Denmark. The dates are:

August 26th - Stereo Studio, Hundige, Denmark
August 27th - Stereo Studio, Nørrebroagde, Copenhagen
August 27th - Loppen, Copenhagen (evening show)
October 14th - Feinkost Lampe, Hannover, Germany

The band will be on stage at 4pm for the Stereo Studio in-store shows. More gigs are expected to be confirmed over the next few weeks so please keep checking back! Meanhwile the band's eponymous debut is attracting its fair share of positve press. Denmark's biggest music magazine, Gaffa, gave it 5 out of 6 stars (read the review here >>), while Berlingske Tiende, a Danish broadsheet was also generous in its praise (review here). Coney Island Sound has been busy working on some new remixes including a version of Skibunny's 'Remember Me' which features Mercury nominee Maps on vocals.

The remix is available on Coney Island Sound's myspace player here while an excerpt of the original is on Skibunny's myspace player here. The debut Skibunny album is out this year on Smalltown America (home of Fighting with Wire, Jetplane Landing, Oppenheimer, And So I Watch You From Afar). We've just added a new title to the shop, a limited album by the now sadly-defunct Ambrose Tompkins. The album's called 'In Deadtown' and the full tracklisting is:

Thanks to everyone who came to the Altmodisch album launch party at Drone in Copenhagen recently. Altmodisch's next gig is at Rust in Copenhagen on May 22nd following a recent appearance at Engelsholm Electronic Festival. We're currently planning some Altmodisch shows across Europe for later during the year (any promoters interested in booking Altmodisch please email us here).

The album's out now and widely available from all good record shops including Stereo Studio (DK), Rock Uglen (DK), Rough Trade, HMV, and Amazon plus all the usual digital stores including itunes.
